Benefit Premiere

WORC is hosting a premiere benefit for its first ever documentary.  Come out and witness WORC's growth for a night of fellowship and inspiration.  The event will take place on Saturday, June 22, 2013 from 6-9 pm in Minneapolis, MN.  Not only will the event include the premiere, it will have hors d'oeuvres, live music, art exhibits, and a chance to meet and speak with WORC staff and supporters!  It is sure to be an exciting night.

UNICEF - Child Nutrition

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) released a report Monday that maps out malnutrition in children, and indicates a shift in efforts to combat childhood and stunted growth.

As I’m sure many of you are sharing in my grief, my heart has been made very heavy as of late by the recent events that occurred at the Boston Marathon on April 15. My immediate reaction as I watched the events unfold was disbelief, which grew into shock, followed by a deep mourning for my fellow human beings who had been affected by this horrible tragedy. It seems that this past year alone has housed many―far too many―of these massive, hateful, sudden acts of violence that have shaken the country. From the shooting in Aurora, Colorado, in July, to the tragic events in Newtown, our country has seen far too many innocent lives taken at the hands of hate and violence this year.
